WOODSALES
Timber on the stump.
The owners / vendors, the government, municipals organise traditionally big wood
sales at the beginning of the autumn. These happenings take place between 15th
September and 15th November for the most "Public" sales.
The sales are organised by:
Office of Waters and Forests
Associations of Forest owners or co-operative Wood Associations
Wood specialists
Sold by private contract, but this latter is done less and less as the owners appeal to associations.
The bulk part of our timber on the stump is bought in that
period of the year in order to fulfil the needs and requirements of our customers.
These are sales with the highest descending value.
At these sales, one is obliged to have all the necessary bank guarantees corresponding
to the amounts and quantities one wants to buy.
Once the sale is finished, the buying documents are to be signed of the lots
that have been bought. A couple of weeks later, we can start cutting down these
woods.
