COMPANY HISTORY
The company Richard Vrand is a family business, situated in the North of Belgium
in Lauwe, near Kortrijk.
The company was founded in 1970 by Richard VRAND. He was an agent for several
wood processing companies in the region. These companies were mostly chipboard
manufacturers.
A couple of years later, Richard Vrand started to buy his own trees in order
to sell them on to the wood industry. This time quality woods for veneer, furniture
and stairs industry.
Beginning the 1990's, his son Arnaud Vrand joined the company in order to proceed
with the same tasks as his father.
In 1995, his daughter Nele Vrand joined and she takes care of all administration,
commercial tasks ( Sales Manager for the Far East and Italy) and organisation
of the offices.
In 2001, his son in law, Pieter Valcke, joined the company and he deals with sales of round & sawn timber for the following markets: UK, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Spain and Portugal.
